Rangareddy (Telangana) [India]: A chilling murder case has emerged from Venkateswara Colony, within the Meerpet Police Station limits in Rangareddy district, where a man allegedly killed his wife and reportedly boiled some body parts in a cooker while disposing of others in a nearby lake.
Police Investigation
According to DCP, LB Nagar, the incident surfaced during the investigation of a missing person’s case filed on January 17.
“A missing case was reported on January 17. In that case, the husband is self-claiming that he killed his wife. We are continuing the investigation. As of now, we are not finalizing the death. The husband claimed that he killed his wife with a knife, chopped the body parts, and threw them into the lake. We have to find out the truth, and the investigation is ongoing,” the DCP stated.
Missing Complaint Details
The case began when Subamma, the mother of the victim Madhavi, filed a missing complaint at Jillelaguda under Meerpet Police Station limits.
Inspector Nagaraju explained, “On the 18th of this month, Subamma reported that her daughter Madhavi, married 13 years ago to Gurumurthy, a retired army employee and current security guard in Kanchanbagh, was missing. For the past five years, Madhavi and Gurumurthy had been living with their two children in Venkateswara Colony. On January 16, Madhavi and Gurumurthy argued over some issue, after which she left the house.”
Shocking Allegations
The investigation took a dark turn when the husband, Gurumurthy, allegedly confessed to killing Madhavi. He reportedly claimed to have used a knife to murder her, dismembered her body, and disposed of the parts in a nearby lake.
