Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], January 23: Comedian Kapil Sharma and actor Rajpal Yadav have reportedly received death threats via email. The threatening message was allegedly sent to Rajpal Yadav’s account from someone named Vishnu, who warned that Sharma, his family, associates, and Yadav himself would be killed.
The email, dated December 14, 2024, raised serious concerns and prompted Yadav to file a formal police complaint. The email was sent from the address don99284@gmail.com to Yadav’s team email, teamrajpalyadav@gmail.com.
Following the threat, Yadav’s wife, Radha Rajpal Yadav, lodged a complaint with the Amboli Police Station in Mumbai. The police have registered a case under Section 351(3) of the Indian Penal Code, which pertains to threats of harm. Authorities are investigating the matter and working to identify the individual behind the threatening message.
Kapil Sharma, widely loved for his humor and wit, became a household name through shows like Comedy Nights with Kapil and has also appeared in films such as Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon, Firangi, and Zwigato. Recently, he launched The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix, which features a star-studded lineup.
Rajpal Yadav, known for his impeccable comic timing in Bollywood, was last seen in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, directed by Anees Bazmee, alongside stars like Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan, and Madhuri Dixit.
