Salman Khan Wraps Battle of Galwan Shoot in Ladakh

Leh, Ladakh: Bollywood actor Salman Khan has successfully wrapped up the 45-day shooting schedule for his much-anticipated film Battle of Galwan in Leh, Ladakh. The film’s director, Apoorva Lakhia, took to his Instagram Stories to share several behind-the-scenes photos and videos, marking the completion of the challenging shoot.

Lakhia shared a photo with Salman, captioned, “It’s a wrap-45 days,” confirming the swift timeline of the shooting schedule. He also posted a video from the location, expressing the difficulties of filming in the extreme conditions of Ladakh but also the memorable experience. “Froze, baked, shivered, ate sand, walked in the Indus, sucked oxygen but still leaving with all those memories that make me smile,” he wrote. Actor Ankur Bhatia, who is also part of the film, re-shared a post celebrating the “Schedule wrap in Ladakh.”

Upon his return to Mumbai, Salman was seen at the airport having shaved off the mustache he was sporting for his role in the film.

About Battle of Galwan

Battle of Galwan is a war drama based on the 2020 Galwan Valley clash between Indian and Chinese troops, a rare border skirmish where soldiers engaged in hand-to-hand combat with sticks and stones. The film, directed by Apoorva Lakhia, is said to be a tribute to the bravery and sacrifice of the Indian soldiers.

Earlier this month, Salman had shared a picture of himself in a military uniform with a mustache, confirming his role as an army officer. Reports suggest that he may be portraying the role of Colonel B. Santosh Babu, who was martyred in the conflict. The actor had previously stated that this film was one of the most “physically demanding” projects of his career.

Before wrapping the shoot, Salman paid a courtesy visit to the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Kavinder Gupta, at his official residence. The LG’s office shared the photos of the meeting on X (formerly Twitter). The film is produced under Salman Khan’s banner, and while the official release date is yet to be announced, it is one of the most anticipated films of 2026.
