New Delhi [India]: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Sanjay Singh praised the Indian Armed Forces for their decisive action in Operation Sindoor, stating that the operation has delivered a strong message to terrorist groups operating from Pakistan.
Speaking to ANI, Singh remarked, “The entire country stands united with the Indian Army. The precision strikes on nine terrorist hideouts under Operation Sindoor have sent a clear warning to those behind terror activities. Masood Azhar’s reaction—threatening a press release—reflects the impact of this action. This operation is a powerful lesson for Pakistan-backed terror organisations.”
Singh also paid tribute to the fallen soldier, Dinesh Sharma of Haryana, who lost his life in the line of duty. “I bow my head to his supreme sacrifice. Our government and armed forces are more than capable of delivering a strong response to cowardly acts of terror,” he said.
Operation Sindoor, carried out on Wednesday, targeted nine key terror infrastructure locations in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The strikes aimed to avenge the recent Pahalgam attack and neutralize leaders and camps of terror outfits like Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).
Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Sudip Bandyopadhyay also extended support to the forces, stating, “We salute the Armed Forces. Today, 140 crore Indians are proud. Operation Sindoor was executed perfectly. It’s time to unite and raise our voice globally against terrorism.”
Following the operation, the Centre convened an all-party meeting at the Parliament Annexe to brief political leaders. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh led the briefing, joined by Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP President JP Nadda, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, and Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, among others.
Ahead of the meeting, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju emphasized the significance of the operation and the responsibility of the government to inform all political parties. He reiterated that the nation stands firmly with the Indian Armed Forces.
