‘KD – The Devil’ Teaser Out: Sanjay Dutt, Dhruva Sarja, Shilpa Shetty Shine In Action-Packed 1970s Drama


Mumbai, July 10 – The teaser for the much-awaited Pan-India action drama KD – The Devil was officially launched today in a glitzy event held in Mumbai. The film features a power-packed cast including Sanjay Dutt, Dhruva Sarja, Shilpa Shetty, Nora Fatehi, and Reeshma Nanaiah, and is directed by Prem.

The teaser introduces key characters such as Dhak Deva (Sanjay Dutt), Kaali Dasa aka KD (Dhruva Sarja), Satyavati (Shilpa Shetty), and Machhlakshmi (Reeshma Nanaiah), showcasing a mix of intense action, glamor, and period authenticity.

Filmmaker Priyadarshan, who attended the launch, applauded the rise of Kannada cinema, noting its growing pan-India influence.

Sanjay Dutt, praising Dhruva and Shilpa, said,

“I’ve worked with Shilpa before—she’s an amazing professional and a wonderful human being. Dhruva is full of potential and deserves to be a big star.”

Shilpa Shetty shared a heartfelt anecdote about how she agreed to the role despite being injured:

“I was in a wheelchair when director Prem narrated the script. The story moved me so much that I stood up mid-narration and said, ‘I want to do this film for this one scene.’”

‘KD – The Devil’ is produced by Suprith under KVN Productions and is helmed by Prem, known for his successful ventures in Kannada cinema. The film also stars Ramesh Aravind and V Ravichandran in pivotal roles.
