New Delhi (India), January 14: As Hrithik Roshan celebrates a significant milestone in his career, the actor took a nostalgic journey down memory lane, reflecting on his debut film Kaho Na Pyaar Hai, which completes 25 years today.
Sharing a heartfelt post on Instagram, Hrithik revisited his early days of preparation for the film, offering fans a glimpse of handwritten notes he used during his intense prep. The actor opened up about the nervousness and excitement he felt when embarking on his first big project in the industry.
“I remember how nervous I was. Still am when starting a movie,” Hrithik wrote, acknowledging the consistency of his emotions despite his success.
The actor also shared some of his motivational thoughts from that time, revealing a page from his notes: “One life. That’s it—only one life, one chance, don’t f*** it up, don’t give a s*** about small failures… Just keep going, don’t break.” He further emphasized the importance of trusting instincts and pushing through challenges.
Reflecting on his physical preparation for the role, Hrithik humorously recalled: “Need a lot of biceps for broader upper chest also.” He also shared a note on speech preparation, saying, “Speech-talk without being conscious at all of stuttering… It doesn’t happen anymore! It’s all in the mind!”
In his caption, Hrithik reflected on how, after 25 years in the industry, his approach to acting and preparation has remained largely unchanged. “After 25 years, I guess I can handle it. Then to now, what’s changed? I see these pages and realise—absolutely nothing,” he wrote. “Good thing? Bad thing? It’s just how it is. Only process remains.”
The actor expressed deep gratitude for the journey, adding, “So much to be thankful for. So much to be grateful for. So much left to do.”
Kaho Na Pyaar Hai, released in 2000, was a massive success and marked the debut of both Hrithik and actress Ameesha Patel. Directed by Hrithik’s father, Rakesh Roshan, the film featured Hrithik in a dual role as Rohit, a singer, and his lookalike Raj, in a story of love, loss, and revenge. As part of the film’s silver jubilee celebrations, Kaho Na Pyaar Hai was recently re-released in theatres.
Meanwhile, Hrithik is gearing up for his next project, starring in War 2, the sequel to the successful 2019 action-thriller War.
