BLA Releases Video of Jaffar Express Hijack, Challenges Pakistan Army Claims in ‘Darra-e-Bolan 2.0’

Bolan Pass [Pakistan], May 19: The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), via its media wing Hakkal, has released a 35-minute video offering an in-depth visual account of its recent operation—codenamed Darra-e-Bolan 2.0—in which BLA fighters hijacked the Jaffar Express in Balochistan. The video challenges the Pakistani military’s version of events and asserts the BLA’s strategic control during the operation.

The footage depicts what appears to be a methodical onboard clearance operation by BLA fighters. Notably, the video includes scenes of women, children, and elderly passengers being safely escorted away—contradicting official claims from the Pakistan Army that described the attack as indiscriminate and brutal.

One BLA fighter, speaking directly to the camera, explained the group’s motivations:
“Our struggle has reached a point where critical decisions must be made. The youth of Balochistan are aware that without such action, there are no alternatives. A gun is needed to stop a gun. The sound of gunfire must travel.”

He emphasized the resolve and sacrifice behind the act:
“Today, Baloch sons and fathers alike are ready to sacrifice their lives. There is no hesitation, only commitment to the cause.”

Contrary to the Pakistan Army’s claims of significant militant casualties, the BLA showcased photos, identities, and farewell messages from its elite Fidayeen unit—the Majeed Brigade—asserting minimal losses and highlighting operational success.

The video reinforces the BLA’s ongoing insurgency and growing intensity in the region, reflecting the group’s continued resistance against the Pakistani state over issues of autonomy, resource control, and human rights in Balochistan.
