Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], May 19: Bollywood star Janhvi Kapoor is all set to make her much-awaited debut at the Cannes Film Festival 2025 with the film Homebound, which will premiere in the prestigious Un Certain Regard section on May 21.
Kapoor was recently spotted at Mumbai Airport, turning heads with her effortlessly chic travel look. She wore a black high-neck top, sleek black pants, formal shoes, a burgundy jacket, and accessorized with black sunglasses and a statement handbag—striking the perfect balance between comfort and style as she prepared to jet off to the French Riviera.
Homebound, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Neeraj Ghaywan, marks his return to Cannes after his celebrated 2015 film Masaan, which also featured in the Un Certain Regard section and earned international acclaim. This time, he brings a deeply emotional narrative with Kapoor, Ishaan Khatter, and Vishal Jethwa in lead roles.
Adding to the buzz, legendary director Martin Scorsese has joined the project as executive producer, bringing global spotlight to the film. Ahead of the festival premiere, producer Karan Johar unveiled the first poster of Homebound on Instagram, writing:
