Baahubali The Epic Trailer: SS Rajamouli’s Magnum Opus Returns, Leaves Prabhas’ Fans Emotional, Shatters The Internet

The wait is finally over! The trailer of S.S. Rajamouli’s legendary spectacle, now titled ‘Baahubali: The Epic’, is out now, and the nation is once again swept up in the euphoria that only this epic can ignite. As audiences relive the grandeur and emotions that defined an era, anticipation is soaring for the film’s grand re-release on October 31st, 2025, a date when history will repeat itself in cinemas across the country.

The newly cut trailer, which stitches together the saga from the original two blockbusters—Baahubali: The Beginning (2015) and Baahubali: The Conclusion (2017)—promises a singular, seamless cinematic experience. Titled “Two Films, One Epic Experience,” the three-hour and 45-minute re-edited feature showcases the epic conflict for the throne of Mahishmati, starring Prabhas as Amarendra and Mahendra Baahubali, Rana Daggubati as Bhallaladeva, Anushka Shetty as Devasena, and Tamannaah Bhatia as Avanthika, alongside the formidable Ramya Krishnan and Sathyaraj.

The film is set to re-release in premium large formats including IMAX and 4DX, offering an upgraded visual and sound experience that has driven spectacular advance bookings, particularly in the US market, where the film has already crossed the one crore mark from its premiere screenings alone.

For the unversed, the original films shattered box office records globally, establishing the Pan-India cinema trend and making the Baahubali franchise one of the highest-grossing in Indian history.

Franchise Future: Beyond Films

The grand re-release comes amidst director S.S. Rajamouli and producer Shobu Yarlagadda’s firm commitment to expanding the Baahubali universe. Rajamouli has previously confirmed that he is going to expand the franchise in many “ways and mediums,” working closely with Yarlagadda.

“When a brand is created in the West, it goes multi-media. We’ve tried making games, a VR film, and a series for ‘Baahubali’ so far. But, nothing worked out as expected,” Rajamouli stated, explaining that it took time to find the right collaborators.

Following the success of the recent animated series, Baahubali: Crown of Blood, the director shared his vision: “Baahubali is going to go forward not just with animated series. It is going to expand in many other ways and medium. This is not the platform to talk about it.”

With the successful trailer drop and record-breaking advance sales for the re-release, ‘Baahubali: The Epic’ is not just a nostalgic trip; it marks the beginning of the next, multi-platform “Phase 2” of the Mahishmati saga, ensuring the legend of the mighty warrior lives on for years to come.
