Lucknow, June 13, 2025 — In a significant step toward supporting farmers, the Uttar Pradesh government has initiated direct maize procurement at the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for the 2024–25 Rabi marketing season. This marks the first time the state is directly purchasing maize at MSP during Rabi, a move aimed at ensuring fair prices and seamless payments.
The procurement drive began on June 15 and will continue until July 31, with operations running daily between 9 AM and 6 PM, a government spokesperson announced on Monday.
💰 MSP and Payment Details
Registered farmers will receive ₹2,225 per quintal for their maize, credited directly to Aadhaar-linked bank accounts through the Public Financial Management System (PFMS).
To avail the benefit, farmers must register using their mobile number on the official portal http://fcs.up.gov.in or the UP KISAN MITRA mobile app.

- A toll-free helpline — 1800-1800-150 — has been set up to assist.
- Nominee and support facilities are available at district and block levels.

The initiative will cover 22 districts:
Badaun, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Etah, Kasganj, Firozabad, Hathras, Mainpuri, Hardoi, Unnao, Kanpur Nagar, Auraiya, Kannauj, Etawah, Farrukhabad, Bahraich, Ballia, Gonda, Sambhal, Rampur, Ayodhya, and Mirzapur.
