Telangana Celebrates 11th Formation Day with Tributes and Messages of Progress

Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], June 2: Telangana marked its 11th Formation Day with solemn tributes and celebratory messages, as Chief Minister Revanth Reddy led the state in honoring the sacrifices of those who fought for its creation. The CM paid floral tributes to Telangana Martyrs at the Martyrs Memorial in Gun Park, Hyderabad.

Revanth Reddy also posted a heartfelt message on X, reaffirming his government’s commitment to the aspirations of the people:

“For the aspirations of the martyrs… For the welfare of the poor… For the dreams of farmers… For the economic self-reliance of girls… For the golden future of the youth… Let us renew our commitment. Happy Formation Day to the people of the state.”


Nation’s Leaders Extend Greetings

President Droupadi Murmu, in a message shared on social media, lauded Telangana’s journey as a young and thriving state:

“Warm greetings to the people of Telangana on Statehood Day! This young State has a rich cultural heritage and a vibrant modern ecosystem of economic and technological development.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi echoed these sentiments, acknowledging Telangana’s contributions to national development:

“Greetings to the wonderful people of Telangana on their Statehood Day. The state is known for making innumerable contributions to national progress… May the people of the state be blessed with success and prosperity.”


Amit Shah Celebrates Telangana’s Cultural Spirit

Union Home Minister Amit Shah extended his wishes in both English and Telugu, emphasizing Telangana’s cultural wealth and hardworking people:

“With its rich culture, heritage, and hardworking people, Telangana shines brightly on India’s ethno-cultural map… I am confident Telangana will scale new heights of prosperity.”


Telangana’s Statehood Journey

Telangana was officially formed on June 2, 2014, becoming India’s 29th state. The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), now known as Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), played a pivotal role in the statehood movement. K. Chandrashekar Rao became the first Chief Minister after the party secured a majority in the state elections.

Now in its second decade, Telangana continues to evolve as a hub of cultural pride, technology, and economic development, celebrating both its rich past and progressive vision.
