Los Angeles [US], March 14: The highly anticipated first teaser for The Life of Chuck, starring Tom Hiddleston, has officially been released, offering fans a first look at Hiddleston’s portrayal of Charles “Chuck” Krantz. Based on Stephen King’s novella, the film is directed by Mike Flanagan and follows the unique life of Chuck, whose death coincides with the end of the world.
In the teaser, Hiddleston’s character is seen walking through a mall, followed by a scene of him deep in thought, dressed in a suit and glasses. In a voice-over, Chuck reflects on life, saying, “The universe is large, and it contains multitudes, but… it also contains me.” This line hints at the central theme of the film — finding joy and meaning even in difficult or apocalyptic times.
The movie takes an unconventional approach to storytelling, presenting Chuck’s life in reverse order, beginning with his death and moving backward to his early years. The teaser also features glimpses of young Chuck, played by Jacob Tremblay and Benjamin Pajak, and sets a mysterious and suspenseful tone with its apocalyptic undertones.
In addition to Hiddleston, The Life of Chuck boasts an impressive cast, including Chiwetel Ejiofor, Karen Gillan, Matthew Lillard, Mia Sara, Carl Lumbly, Kate Siegel, Mark Hamill, and Heather Langenkamp.
Fans are eagerly awaiting the full film to see how the unique narrative unfolds.
