Washington DC [US], March 13: Seth Green, known for his role in Radio Days, has joined the cast of the American sitcom The Conners for its upcoming seventh and final season. Green will play Chad, a new friend of Darlene (Sara Gilbert), who is going through a separation from his wife. His character will appear in a three-episode arc, where Chad and Darlene bond over their shared sense of humor, according to Deadline.
The Conners, a follow-up to Roseanne, will kick off its final six-episode season on March 26, 2025, on ABC. The series stars John Goodman as Dan Conner, Laurie Metcalf as Jackie Harris, Sara Gilbert as Darlene Conner, Lecy Goranson as Becky Conner-Healy, Emma Kenney as Harris Conner-Healy, Ames McNamara as Mark Conner-Healy, Jayden Rey as Mary Conner, and Jay R Ferguson as Ben.
The show follows the Conner family as they navigate the challenges of parenthood, marriage, financial pressures, and aging in working-class America. Through all the struggles—fights, coupon cutting, hand-me-downs, and breakdowns—the family prevails with love, humor, and perseverance.
Green, whose acting career includes roles in Austin Powers, Can’t Hardly Wait, Without a Paddle, and Rat Race, has also made notable television appearances in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Dads, Broad City, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Grey’s Anatomy, That ’70s Show, MadTV, and Entourage.
In addition to his television work, Green is set to begin production on The High Stakes, a thriller from Steven Paul’s SP Media Group, which will be distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution next year.
