Following the attack, the Indian government has launched a strong diplomatic and strategic response:

- Immediate closure of the Integrated Attari Check Post with Pakistan.
- Revocation of SAARC Visa Exemption Scheme privileges for Pakistani nationals.
- Expulsion of Pakistani military, naval, and air advisors from the High Commission in New Delhi.
