PM Modi Inaugurates ₹53,400 Crore Projects In Bhuj, Highlights Power And Port Infrastructure Growth

Bhuj (Gujarat) [India]: Prime Minister Narendra Modi conducted a roadshow in Bhuj, Gujarat, on Monday and later inaugurated a slew of development projects aimed at boosting the state’s infrastructure.

The Prime Minister received a warm and enthusiastic welcome, with crowds lining the streets, waving and cheering as he passed by.

In a post on social media platform X, PM Modi emphasized the importance of the newly launched projects for the region’s development.
“Bhuj’s growth story is remarkable. The projects launched today will accelerate progress in power, renewable energy, ports and other infrastructure,” he wrote.

PM Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for development projects worth over ₹53,400 crore. These include major initiatives in the power sector, such as transmission lines to evacuate renewable energy from the Khavda Renewable Energy Park, expansion of Gujarat’s transmission network, and an ultra-supercritical thermal power plant unit at Tapi.

Additionally, the package includes port-related developments at Kandla and various road, water, and solar energy projects spearheaded by the Gujarat government.

Earlier in the day, while addressing a public gathering in Dahod, the Prime Minister took a firm stance against terrorism, making reference to Operation Sindoor, launched in retaliation for the recent terror attack in Pahalgam.

“Jab koi hamari behno ke sindoor ko mitayega, toh uska bhi mitna tay ho jata hai. (If anyone dares to wipe off the sindoor of our sisters, their end is certain),” PM Modi warned.

He further underscored that the operation symbolizes more than a military response.
“Operation Sindoor is not just a military operation — it is a reflection of our Indian values and the deep emotions we hold close to our hearts,” he added.
