Mumbai (Maharashtra), June 21: Actress Sanvikaa, known for playing Rinki in the widely acclaimed series Panchayat on Amazon Prime Video, has spoken candidly about the ongoing challenges she faces in the entertainment industry due to her outsider status.
In a heartfelt Instagram Story, Sanvikaa, whose real name is Pooja Singh, reflected on the lack of respect and recognition that often comes with not having influential connections in the industry.
“Sometimes I wish I was an insider or maybe from a very powerful background, things would have been so much easier (maybe, I don’t know). As basic as getting respect and being treated as an equal. The battles would have been lesser. Hanging on…” she wrote.
Her statement resonated with many aspiring actors and fans, shedding light on the deeply entrenched nepotism and inequality that continue to exist in Bollywood and beyond.
