New Delhi [India] : New Zealand cricketers have seen notable improvements in the latest ICC rankings following their impressive performance in the ongoing T20I series against Pakistan. The Kiwis won the first two matches of the five-game series, resulting in several players climbing the rankings.
T20I Batting Rankings:
- Tim Seifert jumped 20 spots to secure the 13th position after scoring 44 and 45 in the series.
- Finn Allen climbed to the 18th position following his unbeaten 29 and a solid 38 in the two matches.
Meanwhile, former Pakistan skipper Babar Azam slipped to the 8th position due to recent underwhelming performances.
Australia’s opener Travis Head remains at the top spot in the T20I batters’ rankings. Among Indian players, Abhishek Sharma holds the 2nd position with 829 rating points, followed by Tilak Varma at 4th. Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav sits at 5th with 739 points, and Yashasvi Jaiswal occupies the 12th position with 673 points.
T20I Bowling Rankings:
New Zealand’s Jacob Duffy secured a career-best rank of 12 after bagging six wickets in the first two T20Is against Pakistan. West Indies’ Akeal Hosein leads the bowling charts, followed by India’s Varun Chakravarthy in 2nd place.
Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf gained four spots, moving to 26th place after picking up two wickets in the second T20I.
ODI Rankings Update:
In the ODI rankings, Aryan Dutt of the Netherlands moved up to the 33rd position in the bowling charts after his impressive three-wicket haul against Namibia. His teammate Paul van Meekeren climbed to 61st position.
Namibian all-rounder Gerhard Erasmus, who scored a crucial half-century against the Netherlands, rose to 10th position in the ODI all-rounder rankings.
New Zealand’s strong start against Pakistan has propelled their key players to impressive rankings, while Indian cricketers continue to dominate key spots across formats.
