Massive Fire Breaks Out At Bawana Paint Factory, 25 Fire Tenders Deployed; No Casualties Reported

New Delhi: A massive fire broke out at a paint manufacturing company in Sector 2 of Delhi’s Bawana industrial area early Friday morning, prompting the deployment of 25 fire tenders to bring the blaze under control. As of now, no casualties have been reported, confirmed the Delhi Fire Service (DFS).

According to Chief Fire Officer (CFO) Pradeep Kumar, the fire department received the first alert about the blaze around 5:30 am. Initially, two fire brigades were dispatched to the site. However, upon assessing the intensity of the fire, additional reinforcements were immediately summoned.

“We received information of fire in a paint company in Sector-2, D-93 at around 5:30 am. Taking immediate action, two fire brigades were sent. Seeing the intensity of the fire, more fire brigades were sent. We have called in more teams from Hapur, Bulandshahr, Ghaziabad, and Meerut,” said CFO Pradeep Kumar, speaking to ANI.

The fire is contained within the paint factory premises and has not spread to adjacent factories, the official added. Teams from private firefighting services were also mobilised, and senior fire officials, including the CFO of Ghaziabad, are present at the scene.

“Private firefighters were also called in. CFO Ghaziabad is also here. 25 fire brigades are already here, and more have been called in… The fire has not spread to other factories,” Kumar confirmed.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, and further updates are awaited from DFS officials.
