Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], January 6: Aaman Devgn, the nephew of actor Ajay Devgn, and Rasha Thadani, daughter of Raveena Tandon, are gearing up for their big-screen debut in the upcoming period drama Azaad. The makers recently unveiled the film’s trailer, which has generated a lot of excitement among fans.
Following the trailer’s release, Aaman received a warm and heartfelt congratulatory message from his aunt, actor Kajol. Sharing the trailer on her Instagram Story, Kajol expressed her pride, writing, “If wishes were horses, I would wish for this one! So proud of you @aamandevgan! And so many more congratulations to come!”
The trailer offers a glimpse into the gripping, action-packed narrative, with Ajay Devgn playing a rebellious hero and skilled horse rider deeply connected to his loyal steed. A turning point in the story shows the horse going missing during a battle against the British forces, prompting Aaman’s character to step in and help find it. The trailer also highlights the mentor-mentee relationship between Ajay and Aaman’s characters. Meanwhile, Rasha Thadani is seen portraying a character from a royal family.
In addition to the trailer, a new song titled Uyi Amma was recently released, showcasing Rasha’s dance skills. The song, sung by Madhubanti Bagchi, features music by Amit Trivedi and lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya.
A couple of days earlier, Ajay Devgn spoke about his nephew’s dedication to the film, saying, “I have a significant role in his film as well. The trailer has been released, and people are liking it. Fingers crossed. He is a very hardworking boy.”
Directed by Abhishek Kapoor, Azaad is set in pre-independence India and will hit theatres on January 17, 2025.
