Israel-Iran Conflict: US Denies Involvement In Israeli Strike, Focuses On Protecting Personnel

Washington, D.C. | June 13, 2025 — The United States has clarified that it had no involvement in the Israeli airstrikes on Iran, emphasizing that its top priority remains the safety and security of American personnel stationed across the Middle East.

A spokesperson from the US Department of Defense stated,

“The United States was not involved in the strikes carried out by Israel on Iran. Our immediate focus is on protecting U.S. citizens, military personnel, and diplomatic staff in the region.”

The development comes amid heightened tensions after Israel launched a series of strikes on key military infrastructure inside Iran, reportedly in retaliation for earlier drone and missile attacks.

While the full scale and impact of the strikes are yet to be confirmed, Iranian authorities have acknowledged damage to air defense systems and military sites in western Iran. Casualty reports are still being verified.

Meanwhile, global powers including the United Nations, European Union, and China have called for restraint, urging both sides to avoid escalation.

The Pentagon also confirmed that it is monitoring the situation closely and has increased the readiness of US forces in nearby countries.
