Dhaka [Bangladesh], April 15: India is set to tour Bangladesh for a highly anticipated white-ball series this August, featuring three ODIs and three T20Is, according to the International Cricket Council (ICC).
The Indian team will arrive in Dhaka on August 13, with the ODI series kicking off on August 17 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur. The second ODI will also be played in Mirpur on August 20, while the third match will take place in Chattogram on August 23.
The T20I series begins on August 26 in Chattogram, marking the first time Bangladesh will host India for a T20I series on home soil. The final two T20Is will return to Mirpur on August 29 and August 31, respectively.
This series follows India’s dominant 3-0 win in the last T20I series between the two teams in 2024, held in India. However, in their last ODI face-off in 2022, Bangladesh defeated India 2-1 at home, making the upcoming matches even more intriguing.
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) CEO Nizam Uddin Chowdhury expressed his enthusiasm for the tour:
“This series promises to be one of the most exciting and anticipated events in our home calendar. India have set the benchmark in international cricket across all formats. Fans in both countries are in for a thrilling contest,” he said, as quoted by the ICC.
