New Delhi [India], June 7: India’s multi-party parliamentary delegation, which recently concluded an international outreach campaign under “Operation Sindoor,” has received a strong and positive response from global partners, according to Rajya Sabha MP Satnam Singh Sandhu. The campaign was launched to brief foreign leaders on India’s zero-tolerance policy against terrorism and its precise response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir, which claimed 26 lives.
Speaking to ANI, Sandhu emphasized the swift and decisive retaliation carried out by Indian forces. “Within a month, India responded with precision. As part of our zero-tolerance policy, Prime Minister Narendra Modi promised a strong reply, and nine terror camps in Pakistan were destroyed,” he said. He added that the campaign succeeded in garnering significant global support and appreciation.
The all-party delegation, led by BJP MP Baijayant Panda, visited Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Algeria to present India’s position on cross-border terrorism. The delegation included MPs from various political parties such as Nishikant Dubey (BJP), Phangnon Konyak (BJP), Rekha Sharma (BJP), Asaduddin Owaisi (AIMIM), Satnam Singh Sandhu (BJP), and Ghulam Nabi Azad. Former Indian Ambassador to the US Harsh Shringla also accompanied them.
Taranjit Singh Sandhu, another member of the delegation, highlighted that international partners are increasingly aware of Pakistan’s involvement in terrorism and the role of its military in destabilizing the region. “There is clarity on Pakistan’s association with terrorism and concern about its growing ties with China,” he said.
He further pointed out that nations in the Gulf region expressed interest in strengthening economic relations with India and even proposed establishing Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) in their countries. “They see a clear contrast between India’s development-driven approach and Pakistan’s offerings,” Sandhu stated.
Congress MP and delegation leader Shashi Tharoor also held discussions with the United States Senate Foreign Relations Committee to reinforce the India-US strategic partnership, regional security, and global cooperation.
