“He is completely stable now and recovering well. He is out of danger,” Dr. Dange added.
Saif’s team later issued a statement confirming his stable condition: “Saif Ali Khan has come out of surgery and is out of danger. He is currently in recovery, and doctors are monitoring his progress. All family members are safe, and the police are investigating the incident.”
The statement also thanked the medical team at Lilavati Hospital for their efforts, including Dr. Niraj Uttamani, Dr. Nitin Dange, and Dr. Leena Jain, and expressed gratitude to Saif’s fans for their support.
Mumbai Police’s Dixit Gedam, DCP Zone 9, confirmed that one of the accused had been identified. “The accused used the fire escape to enter the house. So far, it appears to be an attempted burglary. We are working to arrest the suspect as soon as possible,” DCP Gedam said.
The attack occurred at Saif Ali Khan’s residence in the ‘Satguru Sharan’ building in Bandra. It is reported that the intruder initially confronted Saif’s maid, and when the actor attempted to intervene, a physical altercation ensued. Saif sustained injuries and was rushed to Lilavati Hospital for treatment.
Following the incident, several members of the film industry, including filmmaker Siddharth Anand and his wife, visited the hospital to check on the actor’s condition.
