Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge to Skip ‘Invest Karnataka 2025’ Summit Due to Budget Session

New Delhi [India], February 11: Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has announced that he will not be attending the ‘Invest Karnataka 2025’ business summit, organized by the Karnataka government in Bengaluru from February 12 to 14. Kharge informed Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah about his inability to attend the inaugural ceremony due to the ongoing budget session in Parliament.

In a letter to the Chief Minister, Kharge expressed his regret, stating that despite his strong desire to attend, his parliamentary commitments prevent him from being present. He wished the summit great success, expressing confidence that the event would yield fruitful outcomes for the state.

Kharge and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, had been invited as key guests at the summit. The ‘Invest Karnataka 2025’ event is set to focus on Karnataka’s strategic advantages, fostering innovation, industrial growth, and global partnerships.

With over 75 prominent speakers, 25 technical sessions, and discussions with international experts, the summit will delve into global economic trends, emerging technologies, and resilience strategies. Key events include Fireside Chats on AI, Cybersecurity, India’s economic growth, and panel discussions featuring leading innovators and industry experts. The event will also unveil the state’s new Industrial Policy 2025-30.

    • Mallikarjun Kharge, Congress President, will not attend the ‘Invest Karnataka 2025’ business summit being held in Bengaluru from February 12 to 14.
