Mumbai (Maharashtra), February 11: Renowned filmmaker Vikram Bhatt is all set to direct his new film, ‘Tumko Meri Kasam’, which features Anupam Kher, Ishwak Singh, Adah Sharma, and Esha Deol in pivotal roles. The film is loosely based on the life of Dr. Ajay Murdia, the founder of Indira IVF, a popular nationwide chain of fertility clinics.
Bhatt shared insights into the film, explaining that while the story is inspired by Dr. Murdia’s life, there are fictional elements woven into the narrative to ensure it remains engaging for the audience. Bhatt stated, “The film is loosely inspired by his (Ajay Murdia’s) life. There are also elements of fiction, as it’s necessary to tell the story in an engaging way. A dash of drama is needed… The audience would get to know a lot about Ajay’s life through this film.”
An exciting aspect of the film is that it marks Bhatt’s debut as a lyricist. The launch of the song ‘Berang’ from the film gave Bhatt an opportunity to share his personal connection to the track. “Berang is for heartbroken people out there… Also, this song is my first-ever track as a lyricist,” Bhatt revealed.
Earlier in August last year, Anupam Kher shared a glimpse of the mahurat shot from the movie, expressing gratitude towards his longtime collaborator, Mahesh Bhatt. Kher posted on social media, “I am fortunate that after almost 28 years, my great director Mahesh Bhatt, directed me once again for the masterpiece of my 543rd film, Tumko Meri Kasam!”
Presented by Mahesh Bhatt and Indira Entertainment, ‘Tumko Meri Kasam’ is produced by Indira Entertainment, with Shwetambari Bhatt and Krishna Bhatt Sarda serving as Project Directors. The music for the film is composed by Prateek Walia, and Bhatt has contributed lyrics alongside Shweta Bothra. The music rights are with Zee.
The film promises a heartfelt exploration of Dr. Murdia’s journey with added dramatic flair, offering audiences a blend of real-life inspiration and cinematic storytelling.
