New Delhi [India]: Congress MP Dr. Amar Singh, a member of the all-party parliamentary delegation led by BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad, on Saturday reiterated India’s united call to expose Pakistan’s role in fostering terrorism on the global stage. The delegation is visiting key European nations including the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Denmark, and institutions in the European Union.
Singh pointed to the recent Pahalgam terror attack as part of a larger pattern of Pakistan-supported terrorist activity, not an isolated act.
“The Pahalgam incident is not the first. There were earlier attacks near Jammu, Pathankot, and Bombay. Pakistan continues such acts and does not stop. Our effort is to tell the world this,” said Singh during a media interaction.
Pakistan’s Terror Infrastructure Highlighted
He detailed Pakistan’s alleged infrastructure of terrorism, singling out locations such as Bahawalpur and Muridke for housing terrorist training camps. Singh emphasized that India’s May 7 strikes under Operation Sindoor were limited, targeted actions against terror hubs — not military installations.
“Although Pakistan is smaller than us, it harbours terrorist training camps… India targeted only terrorist camps on the night of May 7 and did not strike any military sites. We will explain all this.”
Unified Political Voice Against Terrorism
The all-party composition of the delegation reflects a rare show of unity in Indian politics, as members from diverse ideological backgrounds come together to present a single, cohesive narrative to the global community.
“There is a need for the whole of India to speak in one voice,” said delegation leader Ravi Shankar Prasad, underlining the non-partisan resolve behind India’s international outreach on terrorism.
Singh further noted that Pakistan’s ceasefire plea, along with the U.S. acknowledgment of India’s voluntary restraint, reinforces India’s image as a responsible global actor.
Broader Diplomatic Strategy
The delegation’s mission is part of a larger diplomatic campaign spearheaded by Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, who briefed four all-party groups ahead of their global visits. These delegations are tasked with amplifying India’s policy of zero tolerance for terrorism and highlighting the cross-border threats it continues to face.
Earlier, Misri had briefed three similar delegations, as the Indian government accelerates its global outreach following Operation Sindoor, which was launched in retaliation for the April 22 Pahalgam attack, resulting in the elimination of over 100 terrorists and airstrikes on 11 Pakistani airbases.
Seven Delegations, One Message
The Government of India has formed seven all-party delegations to visit key strategic and UN Security Council partner countries this month. Leading these delegations are prominent Indian parliamentarians:
- Shashi Tharoor (Congress)
- Ravi Shankar Prasad (BJP)
- Sanjay Kumar Jha (JDU)
- Baijayant Panda (BJP)
- Kanimozhi Karunanidhi (DMK)
- Supriya Sule (NCP–Sharad Pawar)
- Shrikant Eknath Shinde (Shiv Sena)
Their shared mission is to project India’s bipartisan unity, expose Pakistan’s state-sponsored terrorism, and reaffirm India’s unwavering commitment to global peace and security.
“Why is it that wherever there is any global terrorism, some needle of suspicion points to Pakistan? We will convey India’s concerns,” Prasad said, underscoring India’s diplomatic determination.
