Yogi Adityanath To Preside Over Second Pran Pratishtha Of Raja Ram At Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir On June 5

Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh – The second Pran Pratishtha ceremony at the Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir is set to take place on Thursday, June 5, with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath presiding over the sacred event. The ceremony will mark the consecration of the Raja Ram Darbar on the first floor of the Ram Temple, coinciding with the Chief Minister’s 53rd birthday.

The event, organized by the Anjaneya Sewa Trust, is part of a three-day celebration that began on June 3 and concludes with Thursday’s main ritual. The ceremony will begin at 11 a.m., starting with Vedic chanting and havan, followed by the ceremonial ‘uncovering of the eyes’ of Lord Ram and Goddess Sita by CM Adityanath.

Significance of the Ceremony

This marks the second Pran Pratishtha in the temple complex—the first, held on January 22, 2024, consecrated the Baal Roop (child form) of Lord Ram. This time, the focus is on Raja Ram, the regal incarnation of the deity.

Quoting Mahamandaleshwar Vishnu Das, “On January 22, ‘Pran Pratishtha’ was done for the ‘baal roop’ (child form) of Lord Rama, now it is Raja Ram (King Ram).”

Ram Darbar Details

The Ram Darbar, featuring idols of Lord Ram, Sita, Lakshman, and Hanuman, will be enshrined on a 2-foot-high white marble throne. All idols are sculpted from white marble in Jaipur, Rajasthan, and will be installed in a 4.5-foot sanctum on the temple’s first floor.

The idols will be adorned in crowns, embroidered robes, and ornaments embedded with zari and precious stones, designed by renowned costume designer Manish Tiwari.

To preserve the sanctity of the newly consecrated space, limited access will be allowed to devotees. The second floor of the temple will host a Ramayana gallery, presenting the epic in multiple languages, including its earliest known version.

Security and Celebrations

Elaborate security arrangements are in place with CRPF, PAC, and SSF personnel deployed across the city. While routine darshan remains open to devotees, a tenant verification drive has been initiated in unauthorised settlements nearby.

To mark the occasion, 62,000 boxes of prasad are being distributed from Lucknow, prepared by Chhappan Bhog. Marketing head Kshitij Gupta said the Barfi, made from chickpeas and moong dal, was specially curated for the event.

Architectural Grandeur

The Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir, built in the traditional Nagara style, showcases intricately carved depictions of Hindu deities and mythological scenes on its walls. The upcoming Pran Pratishtha will add another spiritual and architectural milestone to the sacred site.
