Washington [US], April 9: British crime miniseries Adolescence continues its impressive run on Netflix, surging to 4th place on the platform’s Most Popular English TV list, up from 9th place just a week ago, according to Deadline.
From March 31 to April 6, the gripping four-part series racked up an additional 17.8 million views, showing no signs of slowing down even a month after its March 13 premiere. The show now appears poised to challenge heavyweights like Stranger Things 4 (140.7M views) and Dahmer (115.6M views), with 65 days still left in its premiere window.
Adolescence has already surpassed hit series like Bridgerton, The Night Agent (Season 1), and Stranger Things (Season 3) in total viewership.
Created by Jack Thorne and Stephen Graham, and directed by Philip Barantini, Adolescence follows the harrowing tale of 13-year-old Jamie Miller, accused of murdering a female classmate. Each episode is uniquely crafted as a single, continuous take, adding to the show’s raw emotional intensity.
Owen Cooper stars as Jamie, while Stephen Graham delivers a powerful performance as Jamie’s father, Eddie Miller. The series has received critical acclaim for its innovative direction, gripping writing, and standout performances.
