Bollywood Celebrities Celebrate AR Rahman’s 58th Birthday With Warm Wishes

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], January 7 : Music maestro AR Rahman is celebrating his 58th birthday today, and Bollywood celebrities, family, and close friends have flooded social media with heartfelt wishes for the legendary composer.

Filmmaker Aanand L Rai, who collaborated with Rahman on films like Raanjhanaa and Atrangi Re, shared a touching message on Instagram. He wrote, “Behati Ganga, khubsurat pahaad, udte badaal aur a r rahman… hum ‘tere ishk mein’… hamesha (Flowing Ganga, beautiful mountains, and AR Rahman, we are in love with you). Happy birthday maestro @arrahman,” alongside a beautiful photo of them by a river with a scenic mountain backdrop.

YRF Pictures also took to social media to wish Rahman, posting a stunning portrait of the music icon. Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment also sent out heartfelt birthday greetings to the Oscar-winning artist.

Director Imtiaz Ali, known for Jab We Met, extended his wishes to both AR Rahman and fellow music legend Diljit Dosanjh via Instagram.

AR Rahman’s daughter, Raheema Rehman, shared a sweet message calling him the “best dad” while wishing him a happy birthday.

On his 58th birthday, Rahman also made an exciting announcement with the launch of the Bharat Maestro Awards, alongside his KM Music Conservatory. The awards aim to honor the legacy of Indian classical music legends while inspiring future musical icons. Rahman expressed his excitement about the initiative, stating, “The greatest joy of a guru is to witness the success and growth of their students, and it is this bond that the Bharat Maestro Awards seeks to celebrate. The idea behind instituting this is for it to be more than just an award; it’s about connecting the past, present, and future of music, and uniting us all through the language of sound.”

Known for his timeless tracks like “Jai Ho,” “Enna Sona,” “Tere Bina,” “Yeh Jo Des Hai Tera,” and “Rehna Tu,” AR Rahman won an Oscar for “Jai Ho” from Slumdog Millionaire in 2009, solidifying his place as one of the most influential musicians of his generation.
