Baijayant Panda-Led Delegation Embarks On West Asia Outreach To Highlight India’s Unity And Zero Tolerance On Terrorism

As part of India’s global diplomatic outreach in response to recent terror attacks, an all-party parliamentary delegation led by BJP MP Baijayant Jay Panda embarked on a mission to West Asia, reaffirming India’s national unity and zero tolerance for terrorism. The visit aims to present India’s position on Pakistan’s state-sponsored terrorism and urge international stakeholders to remain vigilant and supportive of India’s stance.

The delegation will visit Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Algeria, engaging with governments, think tanks, and media to present facts and counter Pakistan’s misinformation campaigns.

A Unified Voice Against Terrorism

Rajya Sabha MP Satnam Singh Sandhu stated that the delegation’s core objective is to lay bare the truth behind Pakistan’s terrorist actions:

“We will present facts on how Pakistan is attacking innocent Indian civilians and how India has taken precise and measured actions against terror hubs. We are going to counter the propaganda being spread by Pakistan,” he asserted.

Echoing this sentiment, Baijayant Panda emphasized India’s collective political resolve:

“Our group has senior members with broad political representation. We are united in showing that while India has won on the battlefield, we must also win in the battle for global opinion. We suffer from a **special kind of terrorism – state-sponsored – and we are here to convey this firmly to the world.”

Delegation Members and Their Mission

The Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs confirmed that the delegation includes:

  • Nishikant Dubey (BJP)
  • Phangnon Konyak (BJP)
  • Rekha Sharma (NJP)
  • Asaduddin Owaisi (AIMIM)
  • Satnam Singh Sandhu (Independent/Supporter)
  • Ghulam Nabi Azad (DPAP)
  • Ambassador Harsh Vardhan Shringla (former Foreign Secretary)

Speaking to reporters, AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi added:

“We will share with these nations how Pakistan continues to run terror camps and infiltrate terrorists into India. It is critical for the world to understand the gravity of this threat.”

Projecting National Consensus on Terror

This delegation forms part of a broader campaign by India, with simultaneous delegations visiting Europe, Latin America, Russia, and the U.S. The aim is to project India’s united national response, ensuring that global public opinion, lawmakers, and civil society are sensitized to the scale and seriousness of Pakistan’s role in cross-border terrorism.

According to the official statement:

“The delegation will convey India’s resolute approach in combating terrorism in all its forms and manifestations and uphold the strong message of zero tolerance.”

India’s outreach, rooted in its constitutional values and democratic consensus, seeks to turn global sympathy into support, ensuring the world stands firmly with India in its fight against terrorism and misinformation.
