Taking to social media X, Kejriwal shared a heartfelt post that read, “On the birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, a symbol of valor, self-respect, and bravery, I bow down to him. His indomitable courage, skillful leadership, and determination for self-rule will always inspire us. Hail Bhavani, Hail Shivaji.”

Meanwhile, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, accompanied by Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar, attended the grand 395th birth anniversary celebration at Shivneri Fort in Junnar, Maharashtra. During his address, Fadnavis announced the state’s commitment to developing Shivaji Maharaj’s forts and removing encroachments.

“I extend my wishes to all the citizens on the occasion of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s birth anniversary. Every year, we come here to take inspiration from this fort to serve Maharashtra. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was not just a warrior but also a good administrator. We will develop all his forts. We are constituting a task force to remove the encroachment from all the forts,” said Fadnavis.

Deputy CM Eknath Shinde highlighted that the Maharashtra government is working to get the forts of Shivaji Maharaj enlisted on the UNESCO World Heritage List, with Shivneri being a key site. “By putting tilak of soil from Shivaji Maharaj’s fort, we pledge to work for the development of Maharashtra till our last breath and last drop of blood. 12 forts are being sent to UNESCO, and Shivneri is one of them,” he stated.

Shinde also mentioned the global recognition of Shivaji Maharaj’s birth anniversary, celebrating it even in foreign countries, including Agra in Uttar Pradesh.

Deputy CM Ajit Pawar reiterated Shivaji Maharaj’s enduring legacy, praising his governance and social justice. “Lakhs of people visit here every year to pay their respect. Several forts of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj are an inspiration for all citizens. We will ensure no lack of funds for their development,” Pawar affirmed.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, born on February 19, 1630, at Shivneri Fort, was a legendary warrior king who founded the Maratha Empire. His strategic brilliance and administrative acumen, combined with his resistance against the Mughals, left an indelible mark on Indian history.

Shivaji Maharaj is revered not only for his military prowess but also for establishing a well-structured administration and civil code, ensuring justice for the local populace. His birthday, celebrated as Jayanti, continues to inspire millions across India and the world.
