Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], April 21: The anticipation surrounding Anupam Kher’s upcoming directorial venture, Tanvi The Great, just reached a crescendo as the veteran actor-director unveiled an impressive roster of singers who will bring the film’s musical vision to life.
This marks Kher’s return to direction after over two decades since his debut with Om Jai Jagadish (2002). For Tanvi The Great, Kher has teamed up with none other than Oscar-winning composer MM Keeravani, the musical mastermind behind RRR and Baahubali, promising an emotionally rich and melodious soundtrack.
A Melodious Powerhouse
Taking to Instagram, Kher announced the film’s diverse and talented musical ensemble, which includes:
- Shaan
- Sonu Nigam
- Vishal Mishra
- Raj Pandits
- Ramya Behara
- Nayana Nair
Joining these celebrated names are debutants Shagun Sodhi and Gomathi Iyer, whose fresh voices will be introduced through this film.
In a global twist, Kher also revealed the inclusion of an English track sung by Los Angeles-based artists Shannon and Dirty Grim, adding an international flair to the album. MM Keeravani himself will also lend his voice to some of the tracks.
“My heart and soul—both are singing! Waiting for the world to listen to these unbelievable voices!” Kher expressed on Instagram.
“We recorded all the songs before even beginning the shoot, spending almost a year with Keeravani sir. His magic has created something truly special.”
Kher further wrote that apart from the legends like Sonu Nigam and Shaan—his personal friends—new voices like Raj Pandits, Ramya, Nayana, Shagun, and Gomathi bring freshness and promise to the music.
A special contribution will also come from Kumudwathi Aparajitha, whose involvement hints at yet another emotionally powerful addition to the soundtrack.
A Globally Collaborated Film
Tanvi The Great also boasts an international cast, including Game of Thrones star Iain Glen, and features sound design by Resul Pookutty, the Oscar-winning talent known for Slumdog Millionaire. With its global collaborations and powerful musical backing, the film is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious cinematic projects from Kher.
