Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], March 12: The much-anticipated film Metro In Dino, directed by Anurag Basu, has finally announced its release date. The anthology film, starring Aditya Roy Kapur and Sara Ali Khan, will hit theaters on July 4. The film also features prominent actors such as Anupam Kher, Konkana Sen, Neena Gupta, Ali Fazal, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Pankaj Kapoor.
T-Series, the official distributor, shared the release date on Instagram along with a new poster, saying, “When love, fate, and city life collide, magic is bound to happen! Metro… In Dino brings the stories of the heart from the cities that you love! Experience it on July 4th in cinemas near you.”
The film marks Aditya Roy Kapur and Anurag Basu’s second collaboration after their successful film Ludo. Metro In Dino is inspired by the popular song “In Dino” from Life in a… Metro and will explore the bittersweet tales of human relationships in contemporary times.
Anurag Basu shared more insights into the film, describing it as “a tale of the people and for the people!” He expressed his excitement about collaborating once again with Bhushan Kumar and his gratitude for the partnership. Basu also emphasized the importance of music in the film, stating that Pritam, the music composer, has beautifully brought life to the characters and storyline.
Basu, known for his work in Barfi, Life In a Metro, Ludo, and Jagga Jasoos, promises a fresh and relevant storyline that resonates with contemporary audiences.
Along with the excitement for Metro In Dino, Sara Ali Khan is also set to star alongside Ayushmann Khurrana in an upcoming action-comedy. The film is being produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Guneet Monga’s Sikhya Entertainment, marking their third theatrical collaboration together.
