Salman Khan ‘Galwan’ Shoot Was So Intense That He Needed a Short Break

After an intense shoot in the challenging terrains of Ladakh, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has returned to Mumbai to begin the second, and arguably most crucial, schedule for his upcoming action drama, Battle of Galwan.

The film, directed by Apoorva Lakhia, is a cinematic tribute to the bravery and sacrifice of the Indian armed forces during the 2020 Galwan Valley clash with Chinese troops. A source revealed that the Ladakh schedule, which spanned 45 days, was particularly demanding, with the crew and cast battling temperatures as low as sub-10 degrees Celsius and braving low oxygen levels. Salman Khan himself faced minor health concerns but was on set for 15 days to film his part.

The upcoming Mumbai schedule is set to be a key phase of the film’s production. According to a source, the team plans to shoot not only high-octane action sequences but also pivotal emotional scenes, which will add a new dimension to the actor’s portrayal of a battle-hardened soldier.

In July, the makers released a striking motion poster that gave fans a first glimpse of Khan in a rugged, battle-ready look. The visual, set to a stirring soundscape of military tension, was widely praised for its patriotic fervor and has built immense anticipation for the film.

While the exact release date has been kept under wraps, the film is poised to be a significant cinematic tribute to the heroic hand-to-hand combat that defined the Galwan clash.
