Pune (Maharashtra) [India]: The Directorate General of Resettlement (DGR) under the Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare (DESW), Ministry of Defence, successfully organized a Job Fair at Air Force Station, Pune, bringing together Ex-Servicemen (ESM) and leading employers on a common platform.
According to an official release, the event received an overwhelming response, with over 2,500 Ex-Servicemen from the Army, Navy, and Air Force registering for employment opportunities. More than 50 reputed companies participated, offering over 1,000 job vacancies across diverse sectors.
Key Highlights of the Job Fair:
✅ Large-Scale Participation – Over 2,500 veterans registered for jobs.
✅ Diverse Job Roles – Positions ranged from Senior Supervisors, Mid/Senior-level Managers, Strategic Planners, to Project Directors.
✅ Corporate Engagement – 50+ companies actively participated, benefiting from the highly skilled, disciplined, and experienced veteran workforce.
✅ Entrepreneurship Opportunities – Companies also presented entrepreneurship models for veterans interested in starting their own ventures.
