Zimbabwe Cricket Excited for Historic Home Season
Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) Managing Director Givemore Makoni expressed excitement over hosting two top cricketing nations, highlighting the significance of the season for Zimbabwean players and the growth of the sport in the country.
“This is the biggest international home season we have had in years, and it is an incredible opportunity for our players to test themselves against two of the world’s cricketing powerhouses. Hosting South Africa and New Zealand for both Test cricket and an exciting T20I tri-series is a fantastic development for the growth of the game in Zimbabwe,” Makoni said, as quoted by ESPNcricinfo.
This will be Zimbabwe’s first T20I tri-series since July 2018, when they hosted Australia and Pakistan, with Pakistan emerging victorious.
With this packed schedule, Zimbabwe Cricket aims to reignite the nation’s cricketing culture and provide its players with valuable experience against elite teams.
