Actor and writer Zeishan Quadri, known for his work on the hit film Gangs of Wasseypur, has joined the cast of Bigg Boss 19. In an interview with Hindustan Times, Quadri revealed his reasons for entering the reality show, stating he’s not afraid of conflict and is ready to create some controversy.
Seeking Visibility and Limelight
Quadri explained that he sees Bigg Boss as a great platform for visibility. While he has worked on numerous films, he feels he is not widely recognized by the public. “I am not a social media influencer… I am not into clicking photos and uploading them onto social media,” he said, adding that he wanted to use the show to step into the “limelight.” He admitted that after a long journey in the industry, people often still don’t recognize him, and he believes now is the “right time and right choice” to change that.
A Plan to Go with the Flow
Unlike many contestants who enter with a strategy, Quadri stated he has no plan for his time on the show. “There is no strategy,” he said. “I will react based on how people behave with me.” He also lightheartedly promised to test the show’s “mental and physical strength” and said he would “blow everyone’s mind away.”
Quadri also mentioned he isn’t worried about being under constant camera surveillance, calling himself an “open book.” He jokingly added that he plans to use the time in the house to get in shape, promising to enter with a “rasgulla-like body” and leave looking like a “kaju katli.”
Embracing Controversy and Drama
When asked if he plans to avoid the drama and controversies that are a staple of Bigg Boss, Quadri was quick to respond, “Not at all, in fact, I will participate in that.” He quipped that he would “search for a fight” even if there was no topic, whether it was over food, cleaning, or the bathroom.
He concluded his message to the other housemates with a playful warning: “Let’s have some fun… If you don’t have fun, we’ll make it a punishment.”
The theme for Bigg Boss 19 is “Gharwalon Ki Sarkar,” and it is airing on JioHotstar before a delayed telecast on Colors TV.
