Chahal showed his support by leaving a remark on Mahvash’s Instagram post. This happened only days after he debunked dating rumors that had been going around for months.
Mahvash posted a picture of herself with her prize on Instagram along with a touching comment on how far she has come. She wrote, “Niyat saaf, Manzil asaan (with pure intent, the journey’s smooth)… I am so proud of everything I have worked hard for…” Chahal was one of several people who left a note of congratulations that said, “Congratulations.”
The public show of support is interesting because there has been a lot of talk about their connection. After Chahal’s divorce from his ex-wife, Dhanashree Verma, rumors started to spread that he and Mahvash were dating. People have seen them together a few times, such at the Champions Trophy final in Dubai and an IPL game, where Mahvash was on the Punjab Kings team bus.
But Chahal recently set the record right on a podcast with Raj Shamani, where he strongly denied having any romantic relationship with Mahvash. He also said he was upset about the bad remarks and attention from the public, saying that the rumors had made it hard for them to even go out together. He said that Mahvash had been dubbed a “homewrecker” and had to deal with “nasty things” online, even though they were only friends.
