YSRCP Spokesperson Accuses Chandrababu Naidu Of Wealth Accumulation Over State Development

Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) spokesperson Puttha Sivasankar Reddy criticized Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday, accusing him of prioritizing personal wealth accumulation at the expense of the state’s development.

Addressing the media at the YSRCP’s central office, Reddy cited findings from the latest Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) report. According to the joint report by ADR and National Election Watch (NEW), Naidu is reportedly the wealthiest Chief Minister in India, with declared assets worth Rs 931 crores, constituting 58% of the total wealth of all 31 Chief Ministers surveyed.

Allegations of Undisclosed Wealth

Reddy claimed that the actual market value of Naidu’s assets could surpass Rs 1 lakh crore, raising doubts about the sources of such wealth. “While the state is sinking in debt, Chandrababu’s assets are skyrocketing,” he alleged.

He also pointed out the financial growth of Heritage Foods, a business owned by Naidu’s family, highlighting its rise since the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) returned to power.

Criticism of Media and Governance

Reddy accused sections of the media, referred to as “yellow media,” of downplaying the ADR report to protect Naidu’s image. “Chandrababu, who once claimed he had no watch, ring, or money in his pocket, has now been exposed as a billionaire,” he said.

The YSRCP spokesperson further alleged that Naidu’s governance enriched his family while leaving the state in debt and suffering from economic stagnation.
