The Yuvajana Shramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) has strongly criticized the ruling coalition government, accusing it of misusing Parliament to spread false allegations about a so-called liquor scam, failing to secure central funds, and neglecting key state issues.
YSRCP Leaders Speak Out
At separate press conferences on Tuesday, Tirupati MP Guru Moorthy and former minister Perni Nani accused the ruling coalition of:
🔹 Breaking election promises and disappointing the people.
🔹 Filing false cases against YSRCP members and harassing them.
🔹 Wasting time in the Lok Sabha instead of addressing state issues.
They alleged that despite having 21 MPs in Parliament, the coalition has failed to bring much-needed funds to the state.
Liquor Scam Allegations & Political Targeting
📌 TDP MP Lavu Krishnadevarayalu raised the liquor scam issue in Parliament but did not mention allegations against Chandrababu Naidu in the skill development case, where ED and IT summons were issued.
📌 YSRCP claimed that TDP is falsely implicating its leaders like Peddireddi Ramachandra Reddy, Rajkashireddy, and Mithun Reddy in the case.
📌 They argued that YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s government had shut down 43,000 illegal liquor shops and reduced liquor sale hours, making corruption claims baseless.
Neglect of Key State Issues
🔹 TDP MPs have failed to raise crucial issues like Polavaram and Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP) in Parliament.
🔹 Instead, they are focusing on attacking YSRCP leaders to please Chandrababu Naidu.
YSRCP maintained that it never allowed liquor-related corruption, while TDP had approved all liquor brands during its rule. They accused TDP of misleading the public to tarnish their image.
