Yogi Adityanath Highlights AIIMS Gorakhpur’s Role In Fulfilling PM Modi’s Vision Of A Developed India

Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh) [India]: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday praised the progress of AIIMS Gorakhpur, saying it is playing a vital role in realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India.

“AIIMS Gorakhpur is moving ahead on the path of progress; it is a matter of happiness. It is situated in the heart of eastern Uttar Pradesh. I am confident that we will be able to contribute to fulfilling Prime Minister Modi’s vision, which he has seen by linking health services with the vision of a developed India,” said CM Yogi while addressing an event in Gorakhpur.

Earlier in the day, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for a 500-bed Powergrid Vishram Sadan at AIIMS Gorakhpur.

“Today, to expand the healthcare facilities of the same AIIMS, Gorakhpur, I participated in the Bhoomi Pujan and foundation stone laying ceremony of the 500-bed ‘Powergrid Vishram Sadan’. Congratulations to the people of the state and best wishes to the AIIMS family!” he posted on X.

The rest house will be constructed at a cost of Rs 44 crore and will accommodate up to 500 people. Funded under the CSR initiative of Power Grid Corporation of India, the facility will greatly benefit patients and their attendants traveling from remote areas for treatment.

CM Yogi also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for several other development projects worth Rs 91 crore at Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology (MMMUT).

Additionally, he inaugurated a Rs 1,200 crore grain-based distillery plant under the Super Mega Project at the Gorakhpur Industrial Development Authority (GIDA).

“This is not just a Distillery but an ethanol plant,” CM Yogi stated.
“In the first phase, it will produce 3.5 lakh litres of ethanol daily, and later, production will be increased to 5 lakh litres.”

The Chief Minister highlighted India’s rising ethanol production under the Modi government, noting a jump from 42 lakh litres to 177 crore litres, thanks to approvals for ethanol production from surplus sugarcane.

He further emphasized the transformation of GIDA, saying the region has seen over Rs 15,000 crore in investments, a major shift from earlier times when industrial interest was minimal.
