Yogi Adityanath Lauds Youth Participation In Chief Minister’s Youth Entrepreneur Development Campaign, Praises Startup India Scheme

Meerut (Uttar Pradesh) [India], March 9: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath praised the enthusiasm of the state’s youth as he highlighted the success of the Chief Minister’s Youth Entrepreneur Development Campaign. He revealed that around 2.66 lakh youths have applied for the initiative, surpassing initial expectations.

While addressing the event in Meerut, CM Yogi expressed appreciation for the Union Government’s ‘Startup India’ scheme, noting that the enthusiasm shown by the youth was extraordinary. He also mentioned the government’s initial concerns about the feasibility of providing loans to one lakh youth by the end of the financial year 2025.

“When we launched the scheme on 25 January 2025, we initially believed it would be difficult to provide loans to one lakh entrepreneurs, and that not many people would apply. However, the response has been overwhelming,” CM Yogi remarked.

As of now, over 1 lakh applications have been forwarded to banks, which have approved approximately 25,000 loans.

The Chief Minister also emphasized the impact of the double-engine government’s work in the state. He noted that improved law and order have helped attract significant investment to Uttar Pradesh, with more than Rs 15 lakh crores in investment proposals being implemented.
