Yogendra Chandolia Blames Kejriwal For Ruining Delhi; Criticizes AAP On Electricity And Water

New Delhi [India], January 5: BJP MP Yogendra Chandolia, representing Northwest Delhi, held a press conference on Saturday, accusing former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of mismanaging Delhi for the past decade. Chandolia criticized the AAP government for misleading the people of Delhi to secure a win in the upcoming assembly elections.

Chandolia pointed out that while 33 states across India have implemented the Ayushman Bharat scheme, Delhi has been excluded due to political reasons. He also criticized Kejriwal’s Mohalla Clinics, claiming they have become a haven for animals and are used to generate fake statistics. The BJP MP further accused the Kejriwal government of manipulating health data, while government hospitals suffer from insufficient facilities, including a lack of MRI machines, causing long waiting times for patients.

Chandolia also took issue with Kejriwal’s unfulfilled promise to provide ration cards in his 2015 manifesto, alleging that not a single card has been issued. He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for providing rations to 80 crore people across the country and accused Kejriwal of falsely claiming credit for the initiative.

The BJP MP highlighted the party’s efforts in pressuring Kejriwal to reduce the Power Purchase Adjustment Charges (PPAC) on electricity bills by 50 percent and stated that a future BJP government would aim to abolish such surcharges entirely. He also praised the Modi government’s introduction of electric buses in Delhi, which helped reduce pollution levels, in stark contrast to Kejriwal’s failure to address the city’s growing pollution issues.

Chandolia condemned Kejriwal for his handling of waterlogging during heavy rains, which led to the deaths of 62 people, blaming the Chief Minister for not resolving the city’s drainage problems. He further accused Kejriwal of damaging the Delhi Jal Board, claiming that he is now associated with the tanker mafia and has left the citizens of Delhi without access to water.

The BJP MP also criticized Kejriwal for failing to tackle Delhi’s garbage problem, stating that the city has turned into a “garbage city” under his rule. He noted that despite having control over the municipal corporation for three years, Kejriwal did not fulfill his promise to remove the city’s garbage mountains.

Chandolia also pointed to the poor condition of the road between Nangloi and Tikri Border, alleging that funds allocated by the central government for underpasses and gates had been lost due to corruption among AAP MLAs. He challenged Kejriwal to prove his allegations that the BJP was demolishing slums, demanding an apology to slum dwellers if he cannot.

Chandolia concluded by stating that the BJP’s campaign under State President Virendra Sachdeva has shaken the Kejriwal government, which he believes is now feeling the pressure and facing an inevitable defeat.
