Yash Unleashes First Look of ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’ On His 38th Birthday

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], January 8 : Actor Yash, who rose to fame with KGF, celebrates his 38th birthday today. To mark the occasion, the actor shared a thrilling “Birthday Peek” video from his highly anticipated film Toxic – A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, which is currently in production.

The teaser features Yash in a sharp white suit, holding a cigar, as he enters a club filled with partygoers. His commanding presence draws the attention of everyone in the room, setting the stage for what promises to be an electrifying cinematic experience. The teaser, filled with bold, provocative moments, promises a captivating world that has already captured the imagination of many.

Taking to Instagram, Yash released a glimpse of the film, captioning it “Unleashed.”

Director Geetu Mohandas spoke about the film and Yash’s contribution in a press note, saying, “Toxic – A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is a story that defies conventions and will stir the chaos within us all. Today, as we unveil the first peek of the film, we also celebrate Yash—a visionary who the nation admires for his unique approach and flair. I’ve watched his brilliance unfold, and to those who know or follow him, his process is as enigmatic as it is meticulous. Co-writing this extraordinary world with him has been a privilege. When our creative minds came together, it was not about compromise but about transcending boundaries—creating something that bridges the gap between artistic vision and commercial storytelling.”

She continued, “This film aims to ignite something primal within us—a cinematic experience to not just watch, but to feel. Yash’s reverence for his craft has shown me that the creation process is sacred, and nothing is certain except the thrilling journey ahead. These words come from someone who truly understands his passion for cinema. Happy birthday to our ‘Monster mind’! As Rumi said, ‘When you let go of who you are, you become what you might be.'”

Ahead of his birthday, Yash also unveiled a new poster for Toxic, showing his silhouette in a white tuxedo jacket and fedora, leaning against a vintage car and blowing smoke rings.

The film began production on August 8, 2023, in Bengaluru.

In a heartfelt message ahead of his birthday, Yash asked his fans to avoid making grand gestures or holding large gatherings in his honor, following some unfortunate incidents in the past. He expressed that the “greatest gift” for him is knowing that his fans are safe. In a tragic incident last year, three of his fans lost their lives while setting up a large cutout of the actor during his birthday celebrations. Yash extended his support to the bereaved families at the time.

In his note, Yash wished his fans a Happy New Year, urging them to focus on their safety and well-being instead of extravagant displays. “The love you’ve given me over the years has been incredible, but there have also been unfortunate incidents. It’s time we change how we express love, especially when celebrating my birthday. The greatest gift is knowing you are safe, setting positive examples, and achieving your goals.”

Yash also mentioned he would be away shooting on his birthday, but that the warmth of his fans’ wishes would always reach him. He concluded, “Stay safe, and I wish you all a very happy 2025.”
