Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India]: Actors Yami Gautam and Pratik Gandhi are all set to entertain audiences with their upcoming Netflix film, ‘Dhoom Dhaam’, a quirky, action-packed romantic comedy set to release on February 14.
A ‘Happily Ever After’ with a Twist
The film challenges the classic notion of a perfect married life as it follows the story of Koyal (Yami Gautam), a free-spirited and adventurous woman, and Veer (Pratik Gandhi), a shy, animal-loving veterinarian. Their wedding night takes an unexpected turn, throwing them into a series of unpredictable and chaotic events filled with fun, action, and quirky encounters.

Speaking to media, Yami Gautam described the film as a one-night adventure that transforms a seemingly ordinary wedding night into an unforgettable experience.
“It is a story of one night and how, after a doorbell, things spiral into an unforgettable series of events. But amidst all the chaos, there’s fun, adventure, and a chance for these newlyweds to truly know each other. That’s ‘Dhoom Dhaam’ for you,” she shared.
Pratik Gandhi added,
“It’s a very intriguing story. Veer never imagined that his married life would kick off with such an adventure. As the night unfolds, he discovers new and surprising layers of Koyal’s personality, making for a hilarious and thrilling ride.”
Inspiration Behind Yami’s Character ‘Koyal’
Yami revealed that Koyal is inspired by real-life characters she has encountered, especially her own sister.
“Someone asked me where the ‘mummy-sister’ dialogue came from. I suggested it because I still remember my college days—whenever my sister, Surilie, had an argument, she would use ‘mummy-sister’ just like that. Though she never uses cuss words, she was very fun-loving and bindass. That’s where the idea came from.”
She also highlighted the biggest challenge of the film—shooting at night while maintaining high energy levels throughout the action sequences.
Action, Adventure, and Unpredictable Chemistry
The film’s trailer, released in January, showcases a thrilling mix of romance, action, and comedy. Yami’s character is seen throwing punches and kicks, while Pratik’s Veer struggles to keep up with the madness around him.
Director Rishab Seth promised that ‘Dhoom Dhaam’ would be an unpredictable ride, stating,
“Yami and Pratik bring effortless charm to their roles, making Koyal and Veer’s journey truly delightful. We had an incredible time crafting this madcap adventure, and I can’t wait for audiences to enjoy it on Netflix this Valentine’s Day.”

Marking her return to the screen after almost a year, Yami expressed her excitement for playing Koyal:
