Mumbai Horror: Woman Stabs Former Boyfriend In Private Parts On New Year’s Day

MUMBAI – In a shocking incident reported from the Santacruz area, a woman allegedly lured her former boyfriend to her residence and attacked him with a knife, specifically targeting his private parts. The Mumbai Police confirmed on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, that an FIR has been registered against the accused.

The victim, identified as Joginder Mahto, is currently undergoing treatment at a city hospital after sustaining serious injuries in the assault.

Lured Under Pretext of a Meeting

According to the victim’s statement recorded by the police, the incident was the culmination of a strained history between the two.

  • Past Relationship: Mahto stated that the woman was his girlfriend prior to her marriage. While he claims the relationship ended after she wed, the woman allegedly continued to pressure him to meet her.
  • The Refusal: Mahto told the police he had repeatedly declined her invitations, citing his own marriage, children, and family responsibilities.
  • The Incident: On January 1, 2026 (New Year’s Day), the woman reportedly persuaded him to visit her home one last time. Shortly after he entered the premises, she allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed him.

Escape and Medical Treatment

Despite being in excruciating pain and bleeding profusely, Mahto managed to escape from the house and reach a nearby hospital. Following standard protocol for medico-legal cases, hospital authorities alerted the local police, who subsequently recorded the victim’s statement from his hospital bed.

“A case has been registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). We are currently investigating the sequence of events and are in the process of apprehending the accused.” — Mumbai Police Official
