Wiz Khalifa Says He Believes Earth Is A “Flat Plane” Despite Centuries Of Scientific Evidence

Rapper Wiz Khalifa recently shared his surprising views on Earth’s shape during an appearance on The Joe Budden Podcast, reigniting debate on the long-settled scientific topic.

When asked if he thought Earth was round, Khalifa casually replied, “No.”
“I just believe that we live on a flat plane, like a huge flat plane,” the rapper said, according to People magazine.

Khalifa explained that his belief stems from his extensive travels. “Because when I travel, the routes that we take and how we do it, it’s not possible to go up and down. You’re just going straight. That’s the only reason I think that,” he added.

However, when guest host and academic Marc Lamont Hill challenged him—asking whether he had ever seen an edge to the Earth—Khalifa somewhat reframed his stance.
“It’s not that. I think that there’s more masses than just what we see because it was one thing before and it spread out,” he said, seemingly referencing the ancient supercontinent Pangaea.

The “Black and Yellow” hitmaker also expressed skepticism about space exploration.
“I don’t believe in space exploration at all,” he said. “I don’t believe that they explore space as much as they say that they do.”

Ironically, despite his apparent flat-plane views, Khalifa’s newly released album “Kush + Orange Juice 2”—a sequel to his popular 2010 mixtape—features a round photo of Earth on its cover, People noted.

While Khalifa’s theories contradict scientific consensus established over 2,000 years ago — notably by Greek philosophers like Eratosthenes — his remarks have sparked fresh discussions online about celebrity influence and beliefs around science.
