What Caused Julian McMahon’s Death? Official Report Confirms Cancer-Related Details

Washington DC [US], July 12: Over a week after the passing of Australian actor Julian McMahon, the official cause of death has now been confirmed by authorities.

McMahon, 56, passed away on July 2 in Clearwater, Florida. His family had previously revealed that he had been battling cancer privately. Now, the Pinellas County Medical Examiner’s Office has confirmed that lung metastasis due to head and neck metastatic cancer led to his death, The Hollywood Reporter stated.

McMahon rose to international fame with roles in several hit television shows and films. He was widely known for playing Cole Turner in “Charmed”, Dr. Christian Troy in “Nip/Tuck”, and Doctor Doom in the “Fantastic Four” films. Most recently, he appeared in Netflix’s “The Residence” and the upcoming film “The Surfer.”

His wife, Kelly McMahon, earlier issued a heartfelt tribute, saying:

“With an open heart, I wish to share with the world that my beloved husband, Julian McMahon, died peacefully this week after a valiant effort to overcome cancer… Julian loved life, his family, friends, work, and fans. His deepest wish was to bring joy into as many lives as possible.”

She also requested privacy as the family continues to grieve.

Tributes from Hollywood poured in soon after his death. Co-stars including Ioan Gruffudd, Alyssa Milano, Holly Marie Combs, and Rose McGowan shared touching messages remembering the actor’s talent, warmth, and legacy.
