Wednesday Addams is back — and this time, the stakes are hauntingly personal.
Netflix has unveiled the official trailer for Season 2 of ‘Wednesday’, the massively popular series that catapulted Jenna Ortega to global superstardom. The eerie, emotionless teen returns to Nevermore Academy — but this time, she’s plagued by visions that could change everything.
In a chilling moment from the trailer, black tears roll down Wednesday’s cheeks as her mother, Morticia Addams (played by Catherine Zeta-Jones), questions her:
“I know what those tears mean. What did you see?”
Wednesday replies, “Enid dies and it’s all my fault.”
A flash-forward shows Wednesday by a grave marked “In memory of Enid Sinclair,” followed by a nightmare confrontation where Enid grabs her and screams, “I died because of you!”
As Wednesday unravels sinister secrets, she declares in her signature deadpan tone:
“Secrets are the bedrock of the Addams family. The sooner I get answers, the sooner I can save Enid — or die trying.”
Co-creator and showrunner Miles Millar teased more psychological depth this season:
“We really wanted to find some new obstacles for Wednesday. She thinks she has it all under control and discovers that human interaction isn’t as easy as she thought.”
