Washington DC To Host Grand Military Parade On June 14 To Mark 250th Army Birthday

Washington, DC: The US capital is set to come alive with patriotic fervor on Saturday, June 14, as Washington DC hosts a grand military parade to mark the 250th Army Day, coinciding with Flag Day and the President’s 79th birthday. City officials have announced multiple road closures and a detailed event schedule ahead of the celebrations.


🎖️ Parade Route and Timings

The military parade will kick off at 6:30 PM local time from Constitution Avenue NW and 23rd Street, following the conclusion of festivities at the National Mall.

  • Route: The parade will proceed along Constitution Avenue and wrap up around 7:30 PM at 15th Street, near the National Museum of African American History and Culture.
  • The Smithsonian Metro Station NW entrance will be closed, but the SW entrance will remain open for public access.

🎉 Army Birthday Festival

Earlier in the day, the Army Birthday Festival will be held between 14th Street SW and the 12th Street Expressway, from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Activities will take place on the lawn between Madison Drive NW and Jefferson Drive SW.

The day’s festivities will conclude with a concert and fireworks show at 9:45 PM.
